What Type Of Vendor Are You?

There are four types of vendors – which one are you?

  1. Upsizers / Downsizers– Some Vendors may be looking for a larger / smaller property as needs change and they find they need either more or less space than before. E.G: Having Children, Needing A Home Office Space or Children are grown and move out (empty nest), increase in heating and electrical costs for larger houses.

2. Investors – This is a person who buys a property as an investment with the intention of earning a return either through rental income, the potential future resale of the property or both. An investment property can be a long-term or short-term investment.

3. Executor – This is a person who is appointed to look after the property of a deceased person or dispose of a family home. As Executor the vendor will be required to preserve the assets until they are sold or distributed, as well as protect them from devaluation.

4. Overseas – This is typically a vendor who lives in another country but has a property in Ireland that they now wish to sell.
